Nutrition and yoga weekend Sborzani, Italy

Improve your yoga practice, understand nutrition and learn the secret how they work together. The nutrition and yoga weekend of 23, 24 and 25 is all about food and yoga. Venue: MiriPiri in Sborzani, Italy.

There is a lot of misunderstanding about food, the right food, the effect of food on the body and food in relation to yoga. In this workshop doctor and nutritionist Natalia Realini, yoga teacher Sara Bigatti and John Kraijenbrink, yoga teacher and physiology and anatomy expert, will give more inside into this topic.

New habits

With Dr. Natalia Realini, author of the course’s new habits, we’ll talk about:

– Rules for healthy eating: from the supermarket to the plate
It will be a practical lesson, where we will explore together the food labels and learn to understand our nutritional status and calculate our energy needs.

– The basics of nutrition and the myths to dispel
Natalia will teach you the basics of nutrition, carbohydrates, proteins, fats and vitamins. We’ll talk about food and trendy diets and we dismantle the many myths associated with food.

– Health and nutrition, from science to intestines
In this lesson we’ll focus on our gut in order to know the billions of roommates who inhabit it: the bacterial flora. We will find out what it is, how diet affects our flora and how to take care of it.

Emotional eating

With Sara Bigatti and John Kraijenbrink we will practice Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and meditation. In the theoretical lessons with John will talk about:

–how the regular practice of Yoga helps us create a healthy lifestyle and how asana improve our digestion;

– how emotions shape our body and how to prevent emotional eating.

The Yoga classes are open to all levels of practice.

The classes of Sara Bigatti and Natalia Realini will be in Italian. John’s classes will be in English and translated in Italian.
