I like this stomach ease tea so much I even drink it when my stomach is fine. It consists of three herbs – or actually seeds – that are really good for your stomach: fenugreek, fennel and anise.
Fenugreek is an amazing herb. It’s loaded with vitamins and minerals (B6, B2, B1, B11, B3, C and folic acid, copper, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, zinc, selenium and a lot of iron), it regulates blood sugar levels (which makes it helpful by diabetes) and it’s an aphrodisiac (according to Australian research). It works against stomach ulcer, gastric ulcer, intestines ulcer, esophagus ulcer and constipation. It’s anti-inflammatory and it improves digestion, because it releases mucilage, which creates a protective layer for gut and bowels and lowers indigestion and gastric problems and it increases bowel movement.
Fennel helps against indigestion, flatulence, constipation (the roughage helps clear the bowels, whereas its stimulating effect helps maintain proper peristaltic motion), diarrhea and repiratory and menstrual disorders.
Anise seeds helps by bloating, colicky stomach pain, nausea and indigestion. That’s why these seeds are chewed after a meal n India.
Just mix the three seeds in the way you like it and the stomach ease tea tastes best for you.
