San Jose, this will be the last place I visit in Central America, before I return to the Netherlands for a while. It’s the last week of May, so I still have a month and a halve left. Can’t say this is the last time I’ll be in Costa Rica before coming home. Granada (Nicaragua) is still an option to return to and Guatemala / Belize are options as well. The last two were certainly not planned, but sometimes things go the way they go. But before I start a new adventure, I first have to finish some old things. Like this movie: the Road trip Nicaragua (click for movie) I did with Mark, back in December.
The Road trip Nicaragua took us from Leon to the beach of Isla los Brasiles, where we helped out a tiny rescuing turtles. Next up where the volcanoes Cerro Negro, where we sand boarded down, and Telica, where we saw magma (lava). Mark went up to Somoto canyon, I stayed back and worked. Somebody has to do it.
From Leon we cruised to Granada for a bit more work and to relax at the Laguna de Apoyo. There two became three, when Marieke decided to join us for a trip to San Carlos and down the Rio San Juan, to see some wildlife in the Indio Maiz. After the rain and not to much wildlife we looked for and found the sun in San Juan del Sur, where two became one again. Ometepe was the next plan, but the sun was hot, the waves were good, so we never left San Juan. Well almost, because Mark had to fly home and I had to go and shoot some more videos, photos and teach a bit of yoga. Work, as some call it.
Enjoy our little road trip Nicaragua
