One of the hardest things to do in yoga is to open your shoulders. Often due to bad posture habits our shoulders have grown tight and forward. To be able to do back bends, but even more important for general health, we want to open our shoulders again. Back bends do the trick, but are hard poses to hold. So here are five easy poses to open your shoulders again.
All five poses can be entered in a yin way; meaning you can be in the pose for a long time. However: you do want to built it up slowly. Start in every pose for about half a minute. See how it feels and if it feels okay go the next time in if for longer up until you are able to stay five minutes in the pose.
