My bag is packed, the alarm set for 3.30 am. Tomorrow I’ll be leaving La Mariposa – again. Last time I was pretty excited to leave. After a whole month of studying Spanish my brain needed to relaxe and Mark was coming over from The Netherlands to travel around Nicaragua with me. This time I have something nice to look forward to again, but still: I feel sad.
Life has been good here the last month. Getting up early every morning to do yoga, taking photo’s and making movies during daytime, working a bit in the garden, designing a recipe book and setting up yoga retreats. How perfect can life be? And on top of it all: my food was being prepared every day and my room cleaned. I only had to focus on work and on yoga. The life I hoped to have one day.
But I know this sadness will disappear quickly. Because more beautiful stuff is waiting. Tomorrow I’ll get in a bus that will bring me to Costa Rica; a country that has been on my wish list for a while. I have a few days to take a look around the capital San Jose and the rest of the country, before I head down South East to assist Petra Tomuta at the yoga retreat she is hosting. And as sad as I am to leave La Mariposa, so excited am I see Petra again (after two years) and to teach at her side.
