Dutch Smiling Yogi - John Kraijenbrink - performing handstand

John Kraijenbrink

The ‘Dutch Smiling Yogi’. CEO of this project, yoga rebel and yoga teacher (E-RYT 500). Although he doesn’t like to be called CEO, simply because he believes everybody is equally important to make a project a success. Started this project on the 27th of October 2014, when he decided to wander around the world, teach and study yoga, give massages and learn from different cultures. The knowledge he learns, he shares on this website.

His love for sharing and his strong believe that if more people would do yoga, peace would be the result, made him decide to make a community out of the Dutch Smiling Yogi. Just as his former yoga school Blauwe Parel in Tilburg (the Netherlands) grew out into a community with free yoga classes every Sunday in summer and yoga concerts (live classical music, combined with yoga on stage) in winter. If you’re on the yoga path, you can be a member of this community as well. Just sent us a message through our contact form.

John Kraijenbrink is a massage therapist, photographer and journalist as well and the proof that you don’t have to be flexible yourself to teach advanced yoga classes.
