It took my a while, but I’m in love with yin yoga. The first time I did yin yoga was in India, in 2010 on my first Teacher Training Course. Ashtanga in the morning, yin yoga in the afternoon. I could handle the Ashtanga (the harder the better), but I was struggling with the yin. I had never felt something so uncomfortable. But somehow I knew it was good for me and I kept doing it. Slowly the love between yin and me grew and now I’m in love with it. This month is all about yin. I already wrote about it. For those who are knew to yin, here is a full yin yoga class (click for video).
The only thing you have to know, is just the let go, relax in a pose as much as you can. Don’t try, don’t use any force or strength, just let gravity slowly take you deeper and deeper.
