‘Home’ again. Back at La Mariposa Spanish school & Eco Hotel. Back from one heaven into the other. Costa Rica was beautiful, teaching at the Yoga retreat of Petra Tomuta even more beautiful. It felt like being with friends: doing yoga together, meditating together, eating together, laughing together, going on a jungle adventure together and dancing together. But at good things come to an end. How great it is if one good thing just makes place for another. When teaching yoga makes place for people dancing with pinatas.
After teaching for a full week, doing some classes taught by Petra and getting in only two early morning routines for myself I’m back at La Mariposa. Back at my own routine. Getting up at 4.30 every morning to do my own yoga. Being fed tree times a day, so I can totally focus on my yoga, my blog, learning some Spanish and doing a bit of work: teaching yoga, promoting the upcoming yoga retreats and doing some photography and making some videos. The perfect life. But mainly the perfect combination: going out to teach on retreats, share what I know, teaching day in, day out and then coming back, doing yoga for myself, growing in silence, so I have more to offer when I go out and next time to teach again.
I know it wasn’t planned, but today felt a bit like a homecoming party. A dancing with pinatas party: people dancing on nice Latin-American beats, children smashing paῆatas and me just recording everything for a little video for the website for La Mariposa. It’s one of the things I do here, it’s one of the things that make me happy. So yes: I miss the retreat, I miss all the wonderful new people I’ve meet there, but I’m happy to be home again as well. Back to taking photo’s, back to making videos and back to my own yoga mat.
