Boring day, great finish; weekend of opposites. One hour and 40 minutes of yin yoga. I hated yin yoga when I started it, now the only thing you can make me happier with – yoga wise – is either a really strong power yoga class or some acro yoga. I needed this tonight. What a boring day. Especially compared to yesterday. Full day behind my computer. I don’t mind if that’s because I’m writing or editing video’s, but not if it’s for administration. To bad today was.
The contrast with yesterday couldn’t be bigger. Yesterday I had easy flow yoga for breakfast, gave a acrobatic partner yoga workshop together with Elena for lunch and finished of with some therapeutic acro yoga for dinner. It was amazing. In the morning teaching at my own school – the Blauwe Parel – in the afternoon teaching at Dance Festival Roosendaal; being surrounded by talented dancers and being able to learn them a few tricks for lifting which they can incorporate into their dancing and teach some therapeutic flying, to help them recover after hard training. During the breaks we were just chilling in the sunshine, watching little kids and students perform and doing some therapeutic acro yoga ourselves.
The evening was for Stacey and some amazing Indonesian food. And to finish it we had a relaxing massage and a nice cup of tea.
Yesterday was all about work, today as well, but there is work and work. I love teaching, administration is not my thing. That’s the reason I sold my school by the 1st of October. I want to teach, I want to deepen my practice, meditate, but manly I want to feel free again. No pile of bills waiting for me, no endless to-do-list, no emails waiting for an answer. Just my yoga mat, the sun, a cup of tea and may be some yoga students to teach. That’s life. One more month to go and I’ll be on track again…
