Back in Granada again. Back in the city that was my escape from the middle of nowhere when I was working at La Mariposa in San Juan de la Concepcion. The city I came almost every Friday evening to get a brownie and a smoothie. Back in the city I came to when I left Mariposa; being fed up with the negative energy of the owner. Back in the city where I partied with Nathan and where I met Romi, the beautiful Israeli girl I got involved with. Back in the city where I taught my first Acro Yoga workshops. I’m just an Acro Yoga addict; no official teacher, but having almost no Acro Yoga teachers in Nicaragua and a big demand for Acro Yoga I decided to step up. Back in the city where I spent so many days at hostel Oasis, escaping the heat by diving in Oasis’ pool. Back in the city where I felt at home, made friends. And back at Pure again. The yoga, gym and spa , where I did hours and hours of Acro Yoga with April.
This time Pure will be my home. The next couple of weeks I’ll be teaching here: regular yoga classes, Arco Yoga classes, Thai yoga massage, yoga philosophy and pranayama and meditation classes. I’ll be living on the premises of Pure; having my room only three meters away from the yoga shala. Having a whole gym to train, get stronger, get fit again. And having Daria, an extremely devoted Russion/Canadian yoga teacher, with whom I’ll be doing my ashtanga practice every morning at six. No excuses, no escapes.
This is the life I longed for. Being surrounded by yoga, by healthy living people. Being in an area where everything around me if focussed on healthy. Being at a place I can train, do yoga, meditate and write. Nothing more, nothing less. Now the only thing I have to do, is do it. Live it.
